2012: "SIZE MATTERS 9x9x9"

The Alumni Exhibition is on view during the Ann Arbor Art Fair and features a broad range of creative work by A&D graduates. Since its inception, the show has featured work from over 600 A&D alumni. View work from the 2011 Alumni Exhibition.

The 2012 Alumni Exhibition has a theme: SIZE MATTERS - 9X9X9. Each artist-designer should personally interpret the theme. All alumni from the University of Michigan's School of Art & Design are eligible to participate and may submit one piece in any medium to this exhibition.

The exhibition — encompassing both the Slusser Gallery in the Art and Architecture building and the Work•Ann Arbor exhibition venue on State Street in downtown Ann Arbor — runs Monday, July 2 - Saturday, July 21, with the closing reception on Friday, July 20, 2011 during the Ann Arbor Art Fair.

The exhibition includes awards, an online gallery of work, and a printed show catalogue.

Submission Information

Theme: The 2012 Alumni Art Show has a theme: SIZE MATTERS 9x9x9. Each Artist should personally interpret the theme.

Eligibility: Open to all Alumni from the University of Michigan School of Art & Design. Each artist may enter ONE piece.

Media: All media: mixed media, painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, works on paper, glass, fiber, ceramics, metal work, jewelry, wood, photography, film, performance, etc. Creative work less than 2 years old is strongly encouraged.

Entry Procedure: There is an entry fee of $25 required from each artist to help defray costs of show. Postmarked by May 5, 2012, artists should send:

• A check or money order payable to UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN for $25
