Grants in Emerging Fields, Literature and Performing Arts

Creative Capital is now accepting online Letters of Inquiry for grants in Emerging Fields, Literature and Performing Arts. The deadline for submitting inquiries is March 1 at 4:00pm EST. Visit creative-capital.org/apply to learn more about the application process, read the grant guidelines and access the Inquiry Form.

HOW TO APPLY

Creative Capital is the only national grantmaking and artist service organization for individual artists with an open application process. Our selection process includes three steps: inquiry, application and panel review.

To be eligible to apply, an artist must be:
• A U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident
• At least 25 years old
• A working artist with at least five years of professional experience
• Not a full-time student

Whitney Museum Independent Studio Program

The Whitney Museum of American Art

The participants in the Studio Program are engaged in a variety of art practices with an emphasis on installation work, film and video, photography, performance, and various forms of interdisciplinary practice. The program provides studio space and facilities in our loft in downtown Manhattan. The Studio Program exhibition is held in May.

All application materials and supporting documents must be received by April 1.

Artist Residency at Maker Works

Maker Works Residency for artists in Ann Arbor is specifically for artists living in Southeast Michigan for the months of June- August. The residency gains you access to all of the Maker Works studios (Metal, Circuits, Wood & Craft), tools + classes for free! As well as all of the other amenities that are included with a membership such as computers and software, a full tool crib, free wifi and more.

There are 3 categories for applying: Craft, Contemporary and Emerging. These categories allow artists who may work more traditionally in something like woodworking to not have to compete with artists who do performance art, robotics or video. The Emerging category is for artists under 25 years and not enrolled in an academic institution. The deadline for application is March 15.

Artist in Residencey

Independent Day School seeks Artist in Residence.  Enthusiastic working artist sought for production of own work during 5 week on campus residency in either October or February.  Ability/willingness to provide K-12 students access to their artistic thoughts and processes a necessity.  Stipend, housing, and public studio provided. 

Application Deadline March 1, 2012.

Chronicle Books Design Fellowship

Chronicle Books is excited to accept submissions for the Summer-Fall session for five design fellowships in our Publishing Design, Marketing Design, Children’s Design and Digital Media Design groups. These fellowships will provide six months of hands-on experience to graduates interested in embarking on a career in either book, publication, and package design.

Summer Fellowship Program at Historic Deerfield

Historic Deerfield invites applications from undergraduates in their Junior and Senior years for the Summer Fellowship Program.

Based in Historic Deerfield’s eleven museum buildings, state-of-the-art exhibition and storage facility and library, all within the village of Old Deerfield, New England’s best documented town, this all expenses-paid, intensive nine-week living-learning program offers a rare behind the scenes view of the workings of a museum, and a thorough investigation of early New England history and material life.
