The Radiology Department is seeking a student (preferably work-study) for poster production, photo manipulation, scientific illustrations and digitizing films/slides. Student will need to have the following skills: graphic design, strong organizational skills, Photoshop and Illustrator rendering skills and drawing.

Detroit Connections is an arts-outreach course that brings A&D students to an under-resourced elementary school on Detroit’s East Side to lead arts programming for fourth graders. Class runs from 9am-4pm each Friday. Some Friday mornings, students will prepare materials, discuss readings, and plan curriculum at A&D, while other mornings are spent on trips in Detroit. The afternoon is spent preparing and teaching at Marcus Garvey Elementary. This winter term, we will also be planning a field trip for the children to come to A&D and an exhibition of their artwork at a community center in Detroit.
Responsibilities of the work-study student:
1. Assist in the preparation of course materials and art supplies.
2. Join class certain Fridays to take photographs and assist with programming.
3. Document children’s artwork (scanning, transcribing)
Student should be organized and it is preferred that he/she have experience working with children, and is comfortable with administrative/office tasks (photocopying, scanning, organization). Experience with photography a big plus.

• Maintain and diversify Palmer Commons’ existing artwork collection.
• Act as Palmer Commons liaison to build relationships within the UM art community, including students, departments, faculty, as well as Ann Arbor community resources in order to build and rotate Palmer Commons’ student art collection.

The Ann Arbor Film Festivall is the original North American independent film festival, renowned worldwide for showcasing pioneering, high-caliber and art focused films. We are looking for energetic, focused, organized individuals who are excited to be a part of our unique community and help drive our creative efforts.
Interns will provide critical support with general office tasks, such as mailing, data entry, film check-in, etc., as well as promoting and attending upcoming events related to the festival. In addition to general intern duties, we are looking for people with additional skills and experience in the following:
* Photography - with knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop (not all necessary, but a plus)
* Video - with knowledge of Final Cut and/or other editing software
* Community Outreach
* Marketing & Publicity
We are seeking motivated and dependable interns who will commit 8-10 hours a week throughout the upcoming year, and as many additional hours as possible during the film festival week (March 23 - 28, 2010). Full Internships will begin October 1, 2009 and continue to April 16, 2010.
An AAFF internship provides excellent real-world experience in the fast-paced (at times) film festival industry. It is a great resume builder and we provide recommendations for our interns. Our office environment is hard-working, but fun and laid back, often with music and/or movies in the room.

Argus III Productions is looking for a strong Production Designer and Art Department Crew for their newest short film, “George and Gladys”.
We are looking for creative, self-driven artists and designers that know how to take ideas and fabricate realities.
What you will be doing:
1) Work closely with the director and director of photography to create an overall visual feel and aesthetic for the project.
2) Guide the costume, makeup and hair stylists towards a unified aesthetic.
3) Supervise and assist with set construction and modification.
4) Work with the props master on acquiring and providing props.
You must have a great interest in texture, color, light and art as a whole.
This is a great way to break into the film industry and learn the ropes. We will be filming in November. This is a semester long commitment.
