PROPOSE AN EXHIBITION

The School of Art & Design is SEEKING PROPOSALS for exhibitions for Fall 2012 through Winter 2013.

You (an individual or a group) can propose to curate a GROUP EXHIBITION based on an interest, theme, topic, method of working, concept, etc. for one of these spaces:

In your proposal, tell us about your ideas and what type of work you’d ask artists to submit.

If you are chosen as a curator, you’d work with A&D exhibition directors and graduate student assistants to PUT OUT THE CALL for work, SELECT work, INSTALL work, help to DESIGN presentation graphics (cards and signs), and then to CELEBRATE at the opening of your show!

Proposals that encourage undergraduate engagement will have priority.

Please submit a preliminary proposal by Monday, December 5, 2011 using the online submission form below. If you have specific questions about the process, please contact the .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

(100 words or less, please)

Please select one.

Will your exhibition draw in the entire A&D community (undergraduates, graduates, faculty, staff)? Will other Departments/Schools in the University be involved? Does the proposal encourage participation from local, regional, national, and international artists?

If you are an undergraduate student you are required to have a faculty member sponsor your exhibition. If you do not yet have an advisor, who are you planning to contact?

Are there preferred dates and/or venues for this show?

If you have an image that may support your proposal, please upload it here. Images should be smaller than 800x800 pixels and less than 300 KB.
