A&D’s International Program
The School of Art & Design requires all of its students to engage in international travel.
A&D has international partnership agreements with 22 institutions in 18 countries, with several more pending – one of the most comprehensive global outreach programs in the U.S. (Add link to International Program Description here.)
A&D Dean Bryan Rogers has identified A&D’s International Program as a top fundraising priority. Gifts from donors will ensure that all A&D can meet its obligation of providing students with travel stipends that will range from $500 to $2,500.
Levels of support for the A&D International Program:
- Gifts of $500 - $2,500 will fund Named International Travel Awards.
- Gifts of $15,000 or more can establish Named International Travel Endowment Funds.
- Gifts of $25,000 - $500,000 may be used in conjunction with UM President Mary Sue Coleman’s Student Global Experience Challenge Match.
- Gifts of less than $500, directed to the A&D International Program, will be combined in the A&D Donors International Program Fund and used to underwrite student global connections.
Annual Fund Unrestricted
The A&D Annual Fund is a primary giving opportunity. The A&D Annual Fund enables the dean to meet the most pressing needs of the School on a daily basis. Used to seed new programs, fund special student projects, support minor renovations, and host student and faculty events, the Annual Fund is integral to the School's operation.
