Sample Plan of Study

As indicated in the chart below, in each semester of the first year, students complete 3 studio courses, 2 academic courses, and the Lecture Series. After the first year, students pursuing a BA in Art & Design have a great deal of flexibility in scheduling their remaining A&D requirements. The Sample Plan of Study below presents just one possibility. In consultation with their advisors, students develop strategies for completing their educational goals.

One of the third-year semesters is the preferred time period for students to engage in international study.
