UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

JOINT DEGREE

Students who are passionate about art and design as well as other areas of study can pursue a joint degree at the University of Michigan.  Students are encouraged to research online degree information for participating schools and colleges listed below:

During their first registration at University of Michigan Orientation, students will be introduced to advisors in both A&D and their other academic unit. Students should meet regularly with both of their advisors to review specific course requirements and to develop a plan of study. It is ultimately the student’s responsibility to develop a strategy for completing the requirements for both undergraduate degrees, as well as to learn the academic policies and procedures for both units as described in the A&D Undergraduate Student Handbook and the other unit’s handbook or bulletin.

Recognizing that students, through experiences in their first year at the University of Michigan, may change their educational goals, students may withdraw from a Joint Degree program anytime after their first year. Students are required to meet with an advisor to complete the necessary administrative procedure to change their status.

Questions may be directed to a&d@umich.edu or 734-764-0397.
