Each year during the All Student Exhibition, full-time faculty vote to award $2,000 to each of three graduate students. One award is presented to a first-year student, one to a second-year student and one to a third-year student.

Studio Space

Graduate students are each provided a spacious, private studio located in the off-campus Faculty/Graduate Studio Building. This 33,000 square foot facility provides studio spaces for all Art & Design graduate students and faculty and includes large shared working areas, multi-purpose shops, digital media equipment, and group meeting areas. It is located on Ann Arbor City and University of Michigan bus routes.

Computing Equipment

Each graduate student receives a Mac laptop computer loaded with a standard array of current software to use during the three-year curriculum. They also receive external drives and computer carrying cases. The same hardware and software is distributed to all full-time faculty, staff and graduate students, situating all in the same computing environment.
